Kaila’s passion for music traces back to her childhood, where she nearly sang before having conversation. As a child, she would dress up in her princess heels, grab her pink microphone and put on shows in the living room for her family. Her heart was always guided by music. She auditioned for American Idol, Xfactor and The Voice. As time passed, she began writing silly songs to sing around the house, which soon turned into writing dozens of songs that she couldn’t wait to share with the world. After releasing one single and a few collaborative projects, Kaila was met with a new experience that would change her life in more ways than just new relationships. Her mother encouraged her to take the leap of faith and attend a song writing retreat with the band Blue October, which had been one of her influences. Reluctant at first, Kaila took the plunge, and it turned out to be the best decision she could have made.

At the retreat, Kaila met Jeff, who would later invite her to join the Weathered Pages community. This marked the beginning of a life-changing journey for her, as she reconnected with her music and began writing with renewed passion. The environment at Weathered Pages gave her the support and encouragement she needed to truly dive into her artistry, leading to personal and professional growth. Weathered Pages truly provided the perfect space for her to flourish as an artist.

Kaila’s musical style leans toward pop, with her playful personality reflected in her music. She enjoys experimenting with sounds and pushing the boundaries of her comfort zone, always eager to try new things. Despite a fun, lighthearted approach, Kaila’s music is rooted in authenticity, with lyrics that resonate on a deeper level.
